Our story

Summer 2020
Despite the global health crisis, as musicians we felt we had the unique opportunity to create an international musical community while staying at home.
PianoWebFest 2020 , one of the first online festivals in the world, brought together young pianists and internationally renowned pedagogues. World known artists participated in a vast variety of lectures, panels and discussions.
Spring 2021
Summer 2021
PianoWebFest festival transferred gradually to a live format! Along with the lessons live and online We had a live concert at the Israeli Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv with the "Tel Aviv soloists ensemble" in a special gala concert, in honour of the late Mrs. Via Silvya Hassa. In this Gala concert we had seven outstanding students who performed as soloists with the ensemble.
The successful online 2021 spring session included: private lessons, lectures and exciting encounters between professors and students around the world.
Summer 2022
First time our dream came true!
Piano Fest Arad became the major piano festival in the south of Israel. We hosted talented students from the UK, Bulgaria, China and Israel along with distinguished faculty from Germany, Austria, UK, USA and Israel. PianoFest Arad, which took place at the Arad Conservatory, featured exciting concerts and among them the Arthur Rubinstein competition winner, Shiori Kuwahara. We had outstanding recitals of faculty and students, and thoughtful lectures and panels.
Summer 2023
We grew up! Had eight intensive days of concerts, masterclasses, lessons, lectures, a Concerto competition, concerts with the Isaeli Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, and a wonderful collaboration with the Arthur Rubinstein international society.
Summer 2024
In the shadow of a complex and painful year, with the echoes of war still present, and despite all challenges - the festival was held with a great success before an enthusiastic and supportive audience. With artists and students joining us from Austria, Germany, and France, we demonstrated that music has the power to heal and provide hope and comfort.
Summer 2025
During a year filled with challenges, the festival celebrated its 4th anniversary with an eight-day celebration of wonderful leading artists. We opened the festival with the Alexander Trio and continued our tradition of recitals, concerts, the Concerto Competition, and Gala concerts with the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, conducted by Rani Calderon.
A deeply moving recital by Prof. Claudius Tanski was dedicated to the memory of Matan Badat, whose family participated in the event both as audience members and performers on stage. The recital by Netanel Grinshtein was dedicated to the musician Alon Ohel, who was held captive in Gaza at the time. We all prayed and longed for his return, and Alon’s family was present at the event. We are overjoyed that Alon and all the other hostages and captives have returned home after two painful years.
We concluded the festival with an inspiring and captivating performance by Yoni Rechter, including a heartfelt meeting between the legendary artist and our students.
